Oscar Green Jr
Oscar Green Jr, 84, of Salem, passed away at his residence on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, with his family by his side. Born September 17, 1940, he was the son of the late Oscar Green Sr and Sarah Jane (Lewis) Green. On December 30, 1980, he married Maurita Green, who survives.
Oscar retired from GKN with over 30 years of service.
Oscar is survived by his wife of 44 years, Maurita; his 5 children: Kelley Greene, Jeremy Hobson, Tommy Hobson, Kyle Hobson and Leslie Green; a sister, Loretta Lewis; 10 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Sarah Green; 4 brothers, 1 sister, and a grandchild.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at the High Street Church of Christ in Salem, with Danny Jones officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church.
Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home was entrusted with arrangements.
