Robert "Bob" Mitchell Elder

Robert “Bob” Mitchell Elder, age 71, passed away Sunday, October 27, at Norton Clark Hospital.
Mr. Elder was born December 10, 1952, in Louisville, Ky, the son of Cecil Elder and Esther Davis Elder. He was a member of House of Prayer in Jamestown, Tennessee and attended Rivers of Living Waters Church. Mr. Elder was a traveling minister and had retired from IMI as a mechanic and driver.
Mr. Elder is survived by his son, Wayne Elder of Anderson, his daughters, Frances Nicole Elder Land of Salem and Lisa Elder Voyles (Jeff) of Salem. He is also survived by his brother, Danny Elder of Ruskin, Florida, his sisters Margaret Elder Helms of Louisville and Edna Lamb of Louisville, and two grandchildren Michael Land and Matthew Land of Salem.
Mr. Elder is preceded by his wife, Armella Reading Elder. He is also preceded by his parents, his son Robert M. Elder Jr., and his sisters, Bonnie and Linda.
Services will be held on Thursday, October 31 at 2:00p.m at Rivers of Living Waters Church. Visitation will also be Thursday, from 10:00a.m until the time of service at the Rivers of Living Waters Church.
