Dwayne Taylor
Dwayne was a retired owner and Funeral Director of Hughes-Taylor Funeral Homes, Inc.; retired school bus driver for Salem Community Schools; and retired farmer. He was a member of Highland United Methodist Church, Salem Masonic Lodge #21 and Salem Chapter #286, Order of the Eastern Star.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Geneva Taylor; 5 daughters: Karen Suddarth (Scott), Dawn Newby (Brian), Rhonda Hughes, Kim Taylor (Jeff Schneck), and Cheryl Brishaber (Rondale); 1 sister: Maxine Sales; 13 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Sherman E. and Alberta Taylor; son, Darrin E. Taylor; sister, Pauline Richey; and son-in-law, John W. Hughes.
Funeral services will be held Monday, October 28, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home - Salem Chapel with Bro. George Browning and Calvin Curry officiating. Visitation will be held Sunday, October 27, from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Monday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial to follow in Crown Hill Cemetery.
