Paul Edwin Martin
Paul Edwin Martin of Salem, Indiana, passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2024, at the age of 89. Mr. Martin was the son of the late Lewis Estin Martin and Leone (Wesner) Martin.
Paul married Zella Jeanette (Campbell) Martin on June 7, 1953. Jeanette passed away on March 28, 2016. They were married 62 years.
Those who preceded Paul's passing are an infant daughter, Terri Lynn Martin; a sister, Florence Blackman; and brothers, Eugene and Donald Lee Martin.
Paul was a member of Canton Christian Church and Salem Masonic Lodge 21. He was a graduate of Salem High School and held and Associates Degree in Bible Studies from Louisville Bible College. Brother Martin was ordained at the age of 18 and ministered to almost 20 Christian churches throughout Southern Indiana and Kentucky. He retired from Canton Church. While serving as minister, he was also employed in auto and home furnishings sales for several years at Eddie Gilstrap Motors and Billy Martin's Furniture Store.
Those who survive his passing are a daughter, Susie (Martin) Taylor; son-in-law Randy Taylor; a son, Stephen Martin; two grandchildren and four great great grandchildren.
Paul Martin deeply loved not only his physical family, but also his Christian family. He will be sorely missed, but his memory lives on.
Funeral: 4:00 p.m. Sunday, September 1, at Canton Christian Church.
Visitation: 2 - 4 p.m. Sunday at the church.
Interment at Crown Hill Cemetery in Salem, Indiana.
A celebration dinner will follow the interment at the church.
