Rosemary Carter
Rosemary C. Carter, 87, of Salem, passed away on Monday, March 3, 2025, at Salem Crossing. Born May 30, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Lewis and Clara (Williams) Gordon.
Rosemary was the co-owner of Carter Cleaners in Salem.
Rosemary is survived by her 3 children: Lisa Thompson, Linda Alexander (Steve), and Mark Carter; a granddaughter and 2 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Clara; a brother, Donivan Gordon; and 2 half-sisters: Mildred Puglise and Virginia Nichols.
Her funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 5, at 8:00 p.m. at Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home – Salem Chapel. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
