Donna Jean Nolan
Donna Jean Nolan, age 90 of Salem, Indiana passed away Thursday, February 20, 2025 at 3:08 pm, at Salem Crossing in Salem, Indiana. Born March 24, 1934 in Seymour, Indiana, she was the daughter of the late Wavie Leotis Stoner and Eva Magdalene (Weddell) Stoner.
On May 7, 1955 she married Everett Nolan, who passed away May 7, 2004. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Vallonia, Indiana. Graduated from Clifford High. Donna was a good mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, wife, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, neighbor and a friend to many. Donna enjoyed reading many books but especially her Bible, sewing, crocheting, gardening, word puzzles, and she loved to cook for her family and friends. She was a homemaker. She also helped on the farm when she could.
Thank you to all the staff at Salem Crossing for their compassionate care they gave Donna for almost 5 years. The love they showed to Donna was wonderful. We would also like to thank Southern Care Hospice for the additional care they gave to Donna during the last 8 months of her life.
Survivors include: Daughter: Shirley Ann Wingler of Salem, Indiana; Son: Marvin Lee Nolan; Brother-in-law: Tony Nolan Jr. of Salem, Indiana; Grandsons: James Lee Nolan; Michael Wayne Nolan; Paula Meshel Nolan Jones; Joseph Samuel Nolan. 13 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter.
She was preceded in death by her parents Wavie Leotis Stoner and Eva Magdalene Weddell; Her husband Everett Nolan; Brother Wavie Stoner Jr.; Twin sisters June and Judy; and another sister Maxine Stoner (Percifield).
Funeral Service: 11:00 am Tuesday at Dawalt Funeral Home with Rev. Kevin Carty officiating.
Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Monday and 9 to 11 am Tuesday.
Interment at Crown Hill Cemetery.
