Roy Lee Beams
Mr. Roy Lee Beams, age 72, of Pekin, passed away Wednesday, February 12 at Baptist Health Floyd.
Mr. Beams was born February 18, 1952 in Salem the son of Roy Kenneth Beams and Doris Lee Hoke. He was retired as a general mechanic for General Motors. He was a member and trustee at Old Blue River Christian Church.
He is survived by his wife: Shelia Johnson Beams they were married January 4, 2018. He is also survived by his children: Jeremy Beams (Colleene) of Battle Mountain, Nevada, Jennifer Choate (Josh) of Old Hickory, TN, Jessica Malone of Westmoreland, TN, and Rhonda Abbott (Matt) of Salem, four brothers: Oscar Beams of Pekin, Kevin Beams (Jennifer) of Orleans, Brian Beams (Sandy) of Salem, and Neal Beams of Martinsville, two sisters: Annie Hedrick of Salem, and Bonnie Clem of Salem, eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by a brother: Donnie Beams and his parents. Funeral services will be held at 1PM Thursday, February 20 at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mt. Washington Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4-8PM and Thursday 10AM-until time of service.
