Colonel Morris R. Hudson, United States Air Force, retired, of Blue Springs, Missouri, passed away February 5, 2025 at the age of 84.

Born February 13, 1940, in Scottsburg, Indiana, he was the son of the late Zaring and Gladys (Morris) Hudson.

In 1961, he married Joanne (Magner) Hudson, who preceded in death on July 3, 2024.

He is survived by: 4 children: Kimberly (Hudson) Bartlett and husband Charlie, Karen (Hudson) Lowry and husband Tom, Kevin Hudson and Kyle Hudson and his former wife Robin (Faust) Hudson; sister: Betty Jean (Hudson) Salyer and her husband Greg and sister-in-law, Betty (Buchanan) Magner, as well as 10 grandchildren and 2 great granddaughters.

He was a 1958 graduate and Salutatorian of Salem High School and majored in business at Indiana University in 1961.

In 1962, he was commissioned a Second Lieutenant in the USAF and after retiring from the military, he began a new career as the Missouri Procurement Technical Assistance Center (MOPTAC) Director at the University of Missouri for 22 years.

Funeral Service: 12:00 Noon, Monday, February 10, at Dawalt Funeral Home, followed by interment in Crown Hill Cemetery, with full military honors.

Visitation: 10 am to Noon Monday
