  3. YMCA Preschool Registration Opens Soon – Tuition Free for Those Who Qualify!

The Washington County Family YMCA is excited to announce the upcoming registration for the 2025-2026 YMCA Preschool program! The high-quality preschool program helps young learners develop the foundational skills they need for success—through play-based learning, social-emotional development, and hands-on activities in a nurturing environment.

As part of the Y's commitment to making early childhood education accessible to all families, they are pleased to offer multiple ways to reduce or eliminate preschool tuition costs:

Families who qualify for Indiana’s CCDF (Child Care Development Fund) or On My Way Pre-K can have their YMCA Preschool tuition completely covered!

YMCA members receive an exclusive member discount on preschool tuition and get priority registration.

Members who pay annually receive a $50 Y Bucks coupon to use toward preschool tuition payments or other YMCA programs like soccer and dance.

2025-2026 Preschool Registration Schedule:
• February 10, 2025 – Priority registration opens for current students, their siblings, and children of our school partner employees. Families should visit the YMCA to complete the necessary forms, which must be returned by March 12, 2025.
• March 1, 2025 | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM – In-person registration for YMCA members in the YMCA lobby. The Preschool Director will be available for questions.
• March 15, 2025 | 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM – In-person registration for the community in the YMCA lobby. The Preschool Director will be available for questions.
• March 18, 2025 – Walk-in registration begins at the YMCA.

How to Register
To secure a spot in the program, families must: ✔ Pay the $45 first-semester fee ✔ Submit a completed registration form ✔ Provide a current physical and immunization form

Financial assistance information, including details on CCDF and On My Way Pre-K eligibility, will be provided to interested families. Our team is happy to assist in guiding families through the application process to determine if they qualify for tuition-free preschool.

“We believe every child deserves a strong start, regardless of financial circumstances,” said Kristy Purlee, CEO at Washington County Family YMCA. “With the availability of state subsidies like CCDF and On My Way Pre-K, families may be able to attend preschool at no cost, ensuring all children in our community have access to quality early learning experiences.”
