  3. Prom: A Night in Italy
Cornerstone Hall

By Emma Arthur, SHS Student Writer

Each year, the prom committee works to create a memorable night of fun for Salem High School students. This year is no exception, with the prom’s theme being “A Night in Italy.”

The event will be held on April 26 at Cornerstone Hall located at 1101 N Jim Day Rd. The prom will start at 7 p.m. and end at 11 p.m., and tickets will be available to purchase from March 31 to April 11. Prices have not been set, but are expected to be around $50. Students will not be able to purchase tickets after April 11.

The prom is for juniors and seniors, however, sophomores are allowed to attend if they are invited as a guest by an upperclassman. Juniors and seniors are also allowed to bring a guest from another school. If you do bring a guest, they are required to leave whenever you leave. If the guest attends a different school, they must have a guest form signed by their principal in order to come. If the guest is not in school, they must provide both a guest form and a copy of their ID. Guests must be 20 years old or younger.

The prom will have a catered meal and a photographer for anyone who would like pictures. Those who get their pictures taken will receive a free digital copy of their photos after prom.
