Small Group Fellowships will begin October 1. There will be several choices to meet new people and grow closer to Jesus. Sundays during Sunday school in Room 5 in the Adult Education Building and taught by Michael Trueblood; Sundays at 2 p.m. at the church and led by Hank Wolfe; Tuesdays at 7 p.m. at Michael and Brenda Pallotto’s home in Paoli and led by Michael; Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. at the home of Mark and Janelle Springer (this is a woman’s only group); Wednesday every other Wednesday night at 7 p.m. at the home of Dylan and Sydnee Johnson and taught by Dylan (this is a young adult group); and Thursdays at 7 p.m. at Bryan and Suzanne Johnson’s home in Orleans and led by Bryan. This is a 6 or 7-week study (depending on the group leader) on One At A Time by Kyle Idleman.
Beginning October 13, By the Book Sunday school class will present a four-part series on Jesus, the Election and You. These sessions will be taught by Greg Hamilton and Bob Leive and will be from Romans 13 about how the gospel should influence the way we think about, talk about and interact with a government and those around us with differing perspectives and priorities.
October 26 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. will be SCC’s Trunk or Treat. We need people to make “trunks,” and various other things that day, and people to donate candy. There will be a sign-up in the Gathering Area and drop off locations for candy.
Syria Christian Church is located at 2444 N. County Rd. 300 E., Orleans. First service begins at 9 a.m., second service begins at 11 a.m., and Sunday school is held right in between at 10 a.m.
