Revival services were kicked-off Sunday morning with Dan Owsley leading music accompanied by Gina Humphrey playing piano.
Prayer was requested for Sue Denton, Lori Sorg, Joe and Brenda Brewer, Grant Oldham, Ralph Ikerd, Don Mahan, Jim and Priscilla Medlock, Lisa Scott's family, Mark McCammon, Harold White, Carter's Creek Revival, and protection from Satan.
Elder Barry Bishop led the communion meditation from 1 Corinthians 11:23-26. Communion was served by Jeremy Smith and Tom Bailey; Eugene Denton and Aiden Keller assisted.
Revival services theme is "Aliens and Exiles." Evangelist is Kerry Allen, President of Louisville Bible College. His morning message was "A Faith You Can Live With" from 1 Peter 1:3-9. Evening message was " Our Salvation Shows" from 1 Peter 1:10-19; Dan and Kris Owsley led singing with Gina Humphrey playing piano. Revival services continue Monday through Wednesday evenings at 7:00pm with Mark Vice leading singing. Fellowship and snacks will follow services on Wednesday evening.
Jonathan Bishop visited with Shirley Bishop Saturday afternoon on his way back to Lexington, KY where he works. Others visiting were Steve, Susan, and Allsion Hawkins, and Richard and Aiden Keller.
Brooks Hawkins celebrates his 1st birthday on Aug. 28th. He is the son of Andrew and Beth Hawkins, grandson of Steve and Susan Hawkins, and great-grandson of Shirley Bishop.
