Girls' basketball teams go 0-3 Saturday

Eastern had a pre-season event to kick off the season "Musketeer Mania" where they had scrimmages of all the grade level teams and even played an alumni game, where former players were invited back. All three Washington County high school girls’ basketball teams were in action Saturday and all three came out on the short end of the games they were playing.

West Washington had the most competetive contest, losing 67-51 at Linton-Stockton.

The Lady Senators were led by Meredith Deaton. For the second straight game she scored in the 20s. She put up 22 against the Lady Miners and also had four steals.

Shelby Griffitts was the team’s leading rebounder, grabbing four boards.

Eastern came out on the short side of a 51-18 loss to visiting Crawford County.

Salem didn’t have things any easier, falling to visiting Seymour 58-22.

The Lady Lions are back in action at home Tuesday night against Crawford County.

Eastern will host North Harrison Friday night.

West Washington will travel to South Central for Thursday showdown at against the Lady Rebels.
