It was a beautiful day on Sunday for the Great American Stock car race at Salem Speedway. Chuck Barnes, Jr. was declared the winner on Sunday, but on Monday, the results of the GAS 50 changed. As a result of track officials reviewing video footage which showed Barnes’ crew members adding weights and touching the car after the race, Barnes was disqualified, awarding the win to Jeff Stith. Everyone then moved up one notch in their finishing order.
