The Lady Senators are off to a 1-3 start this season after facing their first 3 opponents on the road. With losses against Borden and Clarksville, the girls' fought back with a win against Medora 62-46.

 

The new Dollar General store in Pekin opened for business. The new store is 9014 square feet and one of 325 Dollar General's in Indiana. 

 

The Washington County Economic Growth Partnership has received an $18,000 grant to establish the 2009/10 Washington County Entrepreneurship Grant Fund. The fund is for emerging and existing small business in Washington County.

 

The Salem Lady Lions opened their season on the road against the Crawford County Wolfpack. They fought back from a 22-9 first quarter deficit to post the win. 

 

The new salon 108 & Co. opened on S. High St. owned by Angie Bishop.

 

First grade students at East Washington Elementary School learned the art of making pottery with local artist Terrie Drescher. Students designed their own pendant out of clay.
