Mr. William R. “Bill” VanCleave, age 76, of Livonia, passed away Sunday, April 11 at Baptist Health Floyd.

Mr. VanCleave was born March 4, 1945 in Livonia the son of Roscoe Davis VanCleave and Lucille Elliott VanCleave.  He was a graduate of Salem High School, Class of 1963.  Bill was a lifetime farmer and also served as Livonia Fire Department Fire Chief for 20 years and as a West Washington School Board member for 17 years, some of those years as President.  He was a volunteer 4-H Beef Superintendent and a member of Washington County Cattleman’s Association.

Bill is survived by his wife:  Donna Gross VanCleave.  They were married December 14, 1968.  He is also survived by two sons:  David VanCleave (Amy) and Jeremy VanCleave (Jennifer) both of Livonia, a sister:  Marilyn VanCleave of Hardinsburg, seven grandchildren:  Kaity Cole (Dylan), Rachel Carter, Lauren Blanton, Chelsea Carter, Cameron VanCleave, Kaden VanCleave, and Adyson VanCleave, and one great-grandson:  Jackson.

He was preceded in death by his daughter:  Lisa VanCleave on May 18, 2003 and his parents.

Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2PM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Livonia Cemetery.  Visitation will be Wednesday from 4-8PM and Thursday from 10AM-time of service.

Memorial donations may be made to Livonia Cemetery, 3266 S. Possum Hollow Road, Campbellsburg, Indiana  47108.
