Trisia Ann Deirth

Trisia Ann Deirth, 68, of Salem was surrounded by God’s glory when she crossed into heaven on Monday, May 22, 2023.
The daughter of Andrew and Alice Niece, Trisia was born in Louisville, Kentucky on April 2, 1955. She married Robert Deirth on Janurary 1, 1993 and he survives.
Trisia embraced the simple life.  She often said, “the older you get, the less important ‘things’ become.”  She loved mornings on her front porch, sitting in her swing and drinking coffee.  She enjoyed the sound of wind chimes and watching her flowers bloom.  Trisia even liked it when Robert picked on her--even though she begged him to stop.
Trisia was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. In addition to her husband, Trisia is survived by her son, Tracy (Betty Coffer) Neideffer, Salem; grandson, Jacob (Charlena Bush) Neideffer, and great grandsons Daniel Neideffer and Link Williams, Salem; stepson Robert (Sara Denhart) Deirth, Jr. and granddaughter Sofia Deirth, Scottsburg.
One of Trisia’s greatest pleasures in life was spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She got to watch Jacob grow into a fine young man and become a dad.  Sofia entertained her by singing or demonstrating her latest dance moves.  Link got her attention by saying, “Grandma, Grandma, Grandma,” not once, but three times.  And little Daniel charmed her with his beautiful smiles.
Trisia  is survived by siblings:  Ted (Karen) Niece; Carl (Angie) Niece; John (Lynn) Niece; Linda Niece, all from Georgia.  From Indiana, Charlene (Timmy) Martin; Alice Bowling, Darlene Niece; James (Karen) Niece; Benny (Jennifer) Niece.  She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.  Trisia was proceeded in death by her parents, a son, Todd Neideffer, her brother Andrew Niece and sisters Nanny Gibson and Buleah Niece.
Trisia left a legacy of faith in the Lord, Jesus Christ.  She taught those who loved her the value of family.  And in her last days on earth, she showed us all what it meant to be a true fighter.

Trisia’s wish was to have no services and arrangements were handled by Dawalt Funeral Home.
