Mr. Randell Glen Coats, age 70, of Borden, passed away Thursday, November 18 at his home.

Mr. Coats was born April 16, 1951, in Salem the son of Glen and Cora Lewellyn Coats. He was a heavy equipment operator and a member of Bunker Hill Christian Church. He was an Army veteran.

Randy is survived by his wife of thirty years, Lori Davidson Coats. He is also survived by four sons:  Dennis Coats (Kirsten) of Borden, Eric Coats (Jamie) of Vincennes, Adrian Villarreal (Cecilia) of Salem,  and Nathaniel Glen Coats of Borden, three daughters:  Kendra Coats McCutcheon (Jeremy) of Borden, Victoria Martinez (Chris) of Jeffersonville, and Sara Cain (Jason) of Florida, a brother:  Loren Coats (Roberta) of Pekin, two sisters:  Christena Kemp (David) of Campbellsburg, and Brenda Simmons (Ron) of Bowling Green, Kentucky, and 20 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers:  Raymond “Sonny” Coats (Norma) and Lonnie Coats (Jackie), a sister:  Roberta Richey, a granddaughter:  Emilia Martinez and his parents.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1:00PM at Weathers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Swayback Cemetery, Borden. Visitation will be Monday from 4-8PM and Tuesday from 9AM-time of service.
