Paul Allen "Trapper" Bowsman, age 71 of Salem, passed away Wednesday, January 12, 2022 , in his residence.

Born June 26, 1950 in New Albany, Indiana, he was the son of the late Elmer James and Marjorie O. (Burger) Bowsman.

He was a retired carpenter and construction worker, had been a life resident of Washington County and was a member of the U.S. Army Reserves.   He enjoyed gardening, fishing, hunting, camping and tinkering.

On November 25, 1988 he married Christina (Goen) Bowsman, who survives.
Also surviving are:
2 Daughters: Velisha Davidson and Melissa (Chuck) Hubbard of Salem;
2 Sons: Jimmy (Gina) Davidson and Rod (Lori) Back of Salem;
2 Sisters: Mary Lou (Dale) Siefker of Seymour and Barbara L. Reed of 
     Phoenix, Arizona;
2 Brothers: Robert (Brenda) Bowsman of Corydon  and Leonard (Sue)   
     Bowsman of Salem;
7 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren and his best friend and beloved dog: Roxie; 

He was preceded in death by 1 brother, Larry Bowsman.

Funeral Service: 1:00 pm Monday at Dawalt Funeral Home, followed by interment in Blue River Friends Cemetery with full military honors.

Visitation: 2 to 6 pm Sunday and 11 am until the time of the service on Monday.
