Marriner Hank King, age 64 of Salem, Indiana passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022 at 5:32 am, in IU Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born August 16, 1957 in Columbus, Indiana, he was the son of the late Paul Edward King and JoAnn (Lee) Smith, who survives.

He was a member of the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and a resident of Washington County for most of life.  He attended Salem Indiana High School was a member of the U.S. Army National Guard and he loved livestock, farming and the outdoors.  He could also be found cutting firewood for many of his friends and neighbors.

Hank was a former employee of the old Techumse Plant in Salem and worked for Housewoods Sawmill in Salem and did maintenance at the Salem Hospital and the Stevens' Memorial Musem and worked for DNR at Deam's Lake near Borden, Indiana.

Survivors include:   
Mother: JoAnn Smith of Campbellsburg, Indiana   
Brothers: Marion Pernell King of New Washington, Indiana and Ted King of Columbus, Indiana  
Sisters: Sonja Thompson of Campbellsburg, Tyronna R. King of Sandy, Utah, Jackie Kendall of Salem, Indiana, Tony King of Salem, Indiana, Toby Jo Peacock of Austin, Indiana and Amanda Newland of Freemont, Indiana.
Stepbrother: Danny M. Smith of Campbellsburg, Indiana 
Stepsister: Melvia L. Smith of Campbellsburg, Indiana   
 He was a loving uncle to many nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, father and many aunts and uncles.  

Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Wednesday January 19th at Dawalt Funeral Home in Salem, Indiana and Noon to 1 pm Thursday January 20th at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Salem, Indiana.

Funeral Service: 1:00 pm Thursday at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Interment and committal will follow the service at Claysville Cemetery near Campbellsburg, Indiana.
