Mr. Lester Terrel, age 80, of Salem, passed away Thursday, February 18 at Salem St. Vincent Hospital.

Mr. Terrel was born August 8, 1940 in Lagro, Indiana the son of Clarence Terrel and Blanche Flora Terrel.  He was a member of Dora Christian Church in Lagro, Indiana. He was the owner of TNT Performance. He served in the United States Army as a helicopter technician. He was an avid gardener who loved to grow produce and give to family and friends.

Mr. Terrel married Ethel Queen Terrel on May 22, 1984, and she survives. He is also survived by three sons: Andy Terrel (Alyson) of Arrington, Indiana, Brian Preston of Salem, and Matthew Terrel (Krystal) of Salem, one daughter Jeri Terrel – Weiss of Kokomo, Indiana, three brothers: Raymond Terrel of Urbana, Indiana, Larry Terrel of Pekin, Indiana, and Ted Terrel of Dove Creek, Colorado, and one sister Thelma Sanchez of Lagro, Indiana. Six grandchildren Hadleigh, Aubree, Amelia, Ella, Alex and Ben.

He was preceded in death by one brother: Junior Terrel and one sister: Alta Hamilton and his parents Clarence Terrel and Blanche Flora Terrel.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11AM at Weathers Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Hickory Grove Pioneer Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday from 5:00PM-8:00PM at Weathers Funeral Home and Tuesday from 10AM-time of service.
