Leroy Taylor, age 95, of Salem passed away Sunday, November 28, 2021 at Scott Memorial Hospital.

Born August 11, 1926 in Borden, Indiana, he was the son of the late Hobart Taylor and Flossie (Morris) Taylor.

Leroy retired from the Ford Motor Kentucky Truck Plant in Louisville, Kentucky with 30 years of service; was a World War II Army veteran; and a 50 year member of Excelsior Masonic Lodge No. 258 in Louisville, Kentucky.

He is survived by 4 children: Barbara "Bobbie" Fisher, Ricky Taylor, Terry Taylor (Sandy), and Todd Taylor (Jennifer); 2 step-children: Tommy Baker and Linette Ray; 9 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Hobart and Flossie Taylor; his wife of 48 years, Joyce (Eskridge) Taylor; and 8 brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Hughes-Taylor Funeral Home-Borden Chapel. Visitation will be held Tuesday, November 30, from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home, with Masonic services at 7:00 p.m., and again on Wednesday from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial to follow in Walnut Hill Cemetery with full military honors. www.hughestaylor.net
