Kathy L. Wheeler

Kathy L. Wheeler, 68, passed away peacefully at her home in Sellersburg, Indiana on Thursday, May 6, 2021. She was born on April 3, 1953, to Davis and Mary Boyd (Pennington) in New Albany, Indiana.

Kathy worked as a nurse in her younger years before discovering her passion for owning and operating restaurants. She retired just a few short years ago from owning and operating Subway sandwich locations.

Kathy was preceded in death by her father, Davis Boyd.

Survivors include her Husband, Jarold Wheeler of Sellersburg, her mother, Mary Boyd of Umatilla, Florida, her step-son, Brandon Wheeler (Edrina) of Ferdinand, Indiana, her step-daughters, Angela Wheeler of Vincennes, Indiana and Kimberly Snyder also of Vincennes, her sister, Pattie Logston (Jim) of Mount Dora, Florida, her niece, Alex Logston of Mount Dora and her nephew, Kaden Logston also of Mount Dora. Kathy also leaves behind 7 step-grandchildren and 6 step-great grandchildren to cherish her memory.
Kathy’s memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, May 17, at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg. Visitation will be held on Monday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
