Joyce E. Baker

Mrs. Joyce E. Baker, age 61, of Salem, passed away Sunday, September 17 at Hampton Oaks in Scottsburg.

Mrs. Baker was born August 20, 1962, in Pekin, Indiana, the daughter of Fred Newby and Amy Hawn Newby.  She was a graduate of Eastern High School and a homemaker.

Joyce was preceded in death by her husband:  John M. Baker and her parents.  She is survived by two brothers:  Johnny Newby of Little York and Pat Newby of Pekin, and three sisters:  Bonnie L. Newby of Salem, Mary Sue Hough of Scottsburg, and Freda Syester of Terre Haute.

Funeral services will be held Friday at noon at Weathers Funeral Home with Rick Main officiating.  Burial will follow in Horner’s Chapel Cemetery, Fredericksburg.  Visitation will be Thursday from 4-8PM and Friday from 10AM-time of service.
