Evelyn  Peacock, age 77 of Salem, passed away Thursday, April 1, 2021 at 2:42 pm, in Baptist Health Floyd New Albany.
 
Born February 14, 1944 in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Lee and Nadine (Bowling) Saylor.

She was a life resident of Washington County, graduated from Salem High School and was a member of the New Salem First Church of God.

On November 10, 1961 she married Farris Laverne Peacock, who passed away June 24, 2019.  

She was a former employee of the old B.F. Goodrich in Salem and the Charleston Powder Plant and worked on the farm at her home. She retired as the owner of New Generations Children's Clothing in Salem. 

Survivors include:  2 Daughters: Diana (Jeff) Phillips of Pekin and Beverly Marlman of Salem;  1 Son: Rick (Angie) Peacock of Salem;  2 Brothers: David Saylor of Pekin and Johnny Saylor of Salem;  4 Sisters: Helen Bryant and Loretta Burns of Salem, Mary Barger of Pekin and Della Diehl of Georgetown;  7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.  

Funeral Service: 11:00 am Tuesday at Dawalt Funeral Home with Jason Saylor officiating.  Interment will be at Beech Grove Cemetery near Salem.
Visitation: 4 to 8 pm Monday and 9 to 11 am Tuesday at Dawalt Funeral Home.
