Dr. Michael "Keith" Coots
Dr. Michael “Keith” Coots, age 67, of West Baden Springs, passed away Monday, October 11 at IU Health, Bloomington.
Dr. Coots was born December 4, 1953, in Jeffersonville the son of Louis M. and Effie Mae Plummer Coots. He was a retired clinical and forensic Psychologist for Life Spring Mental Health Services in Paoli. He was a member of Syria Christian Church and American Psychological Association. He served his country as an Air Force veteran.
He is survived by his children: Brandi McCarney (James) of Utica, Sean Coots (Angelita) of Campbellsburg, Amanda Schmitt (Barry) of Temecula, California, Jacob Coots (Gustavo) of Richmond, Virginia, Emily Coots of West Baden Springs, and Erica Coots of Paoli, two brothers: Murl Coots of Salem and Roy Coots of Henryville, two sisters: Kaye Gray of Henryville and Terry Lee Snelling of Salem, 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters: Mari Coots and Carole Mallott.
A memorial service will be held Friday, October 15 at 5PM at Weathers Funeral Home. Visiting time with the family will be Friday from 4-5PM.
The family respectfully requests that those attending the services please wear a mask.
