Donald Johnson

Donald Redmond Johnson, 82, died April 21, 2021, at his home at 8:20 p.m. in Guayquil, Ecuador.

Born Nov. 24,1938, in Providence, Rhode Island, he was the son of Gustaf Albert Johnson and Dorothy Elizabeth Redmond Johnson.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia Ana Johnson, Guayquil, Ecuador; a sister, Ruth Joanne Johnson, Warwick, Rhode Island; three daughters, Meredith (Rickey) Baker, Catherine Rodgers and Dorian Auxier, Salem; two sons, Paul (Jeannine) Johnson, Fort Myers, Florida and Donald Redmond (Kelly) Johnson Jr., Prescott Valley, Arizona; a stepdaughter, Colleen Brady; three stepsons of Ecuador; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceeded in death by his parents and a daughter, Donna Johnson Shirley.

A private family mass will be held at a later date, cremation was chosen with burial in Guayquil.
