Dollie Mae Nolan Edwards, age 89, transitioned to her eternal life on February 1, 2023 at her residence in Draffenville, KY surrounded by the love of her family and caregivers.

Dollie was born in Haleysburg Indiana to Tony Wite Nolan Sr. and Thena Longworth Nolan on June 6, 1933.  She grew up learning the value of hard work and perserverance working on the family farm raising animals and tending crops.  As a teenager she had dreams of being an nurse, but that changed after one of her siblings had a bicycle accident, and she began her journey into Business Administration.

Dollie dedicated her life to Civil Service working for the Air Force, Social Security, U.S. Customs and the Army.  Her last service before retirement, in the computer room at Hawley Army Hospital at Fort Benjamin Harrison in Indianapolis, IN brought her great joy and a feeling of personal accomplishment.

Dollie was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband of 33 years Robert Clyde “Bob” Edwards, daughter Karen Sue Edwards Dixon, siblings Arville Alva Nolan, Everett Nolan, William F. “Bill” Nolan, Ruby Faye Wheeler, nephew Tony Wheeler and sister-in-law Elaine Beatrice Knoke Nolan.
