Coletta Miriam Clements

Coletta Miriam Clements, 87, Pekin, died Thursday, March 4, 2021. 

Coletta was a long-time and very active member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Clarksville. She later attended St. John Paul II Catholic Church in Sellersburg. Coletta enjoyed traveling and loved getting together with her Friday “Lunch Bunch”, a tradition held since 1996. She moved to Pekin in 2008 and owned and operated the Reading Roundhouse bookstore.

She was born Sept. 13, 1933, in Chicago, Illinois, to the late Ronald and Coletta Schneider Swartz. Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, John R. Clements, Jr.; sisters, Barbara Harlow and Carole LaSalle; brothers in-law, Harvey Maurer and Tom Boofter.

Coletta is survived by her daughters, Terrie (John) Drescher and Diana Clements; sisters, Ronelle Maurer, Judy (Fred) Dieckmeyer, Sandy Boofter and Michele (Les) Norris; grandchildren, Shaun (Shannon) Bradley, Shannon (Hector) Nale, Jacob Drescher, Sheri Smith, Charlie (Kelli) Drescher and Scott (Angie) Drescher; 12 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, at St. John Paul II Catholic Church - St. Paul Campus (218 Scheller Avenue, Sellersburg). Her Funeral Mass will be at 1 p.m. on Thursday, at the church with burial to follow at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery in Jeffersonville.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Coletta’s memory can be made to the St. John Paul II Building Fund or WHAS Crusade For Children (520 W. Chestnut St, Louisville, KY 40202).
