Alyce Jane Windell, age 95, of Salem, passed away Sunday, May 21, surrounded by her family.

Alyce was born July 23, 1927, in Leavenworth, Indiana the daughter of Claude and Susan Tahvenot Sauerheber.  She was a former employee of Colgate and retired from GKN.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in Salem.

Alyce is survived by two grandchildren:  Tyler Windell (Hannah) of Indianapolis and Allison Windell (Austin Tewell) of West Terre Haute, a great-grandson:  Weston Tewell of West Terre Haute and a Daughter-in-law Julie Windell.  She was preceded in death by two sons:  Scott Windell and Delyn Windell, two brothers:  Orrell Sauerheber and Harold Sauerheber, her parents, one niece and three nephews.

Graveside services will be at Crown Hill Cemetery, Friday, June 2 at 1PM.
