Salem man killed in Monday evening crash

Jacob W. Lengel, 31, Salem, was pronounced dead at the scene of of a car vs. motorcycle crash Monday evening, according to the Indiana State Police. 

The accident occured around 8:49 p.m. Monday on North White River Road. 

The driver of a 2001 Mercury Mountaineer SUV was a 17-year-old male, who was not injured. 

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash, which is still under investigation.
