Rural Indiana’s shot: a COVID-19 vaccine discussion

On Feb. 25, 2021, at 7 p.m, the IU Center for Rural Engagement will be hosting an online discussion on the COVID-19 vaccination via Zoom and Facebook Live

Do you and your family have questions about the COVID-19 vaccine? This virtual panel discussion will cover:

• How current vaccines and those in development work in the fight against COVID-19

• The vaccine’s role in getting back to normal

• The vaccine’s side effects and other medical information to consider

• Challenges to distributing and accessing the vaccine in rural communities

Those interested will have the opportunity to submit their own questions in advance and during the discussion.

The panel is made up of these professionals:

Graham McKeen, MPA, Assistant University Director of Public and Environmental Health

Lindsay Weaver, MD, FACEP, Chief Medical Officer, Indiana State Department of Health

Yolanda Yoder, MD, Family Medicine Specialist, Southern Indiana Community Health Care
