Pierce-Polk and Jackson aide Borden with massive field fire

A fire that started early Sunday afternoon burned into the night Sunday and the Borden Volunteer Fire Department called for mutual aide from area department.

Members of Jackson Township and Pierce-Polk volunteer departments in Washington County were toned out to the fire at the Southern Indiana Gun and Rifle Club located at 17906 State Road 60 with backpacks and rakes to assist with the massive field fire.

Pierce-Polk Chief Jeff Miller called it a "Challenging afternoon."
