Pekin woman found unresponsive

The Washington County Sheriff's Department is investigating the death of Tammy Weidner, 42, Pekin, who was found unresponsive in a field in Pekin last Thursday. 

Weidner was transported to Ascension St. Vincent Salem where she was pronounced dead.

According to Washington County Sheriff Brent Miller video survelliance in the area eliminated suspicion of foul play and it's believed that Wiedner died of natural causes. 

Look for the sheriff's department's entire release in an upcoming issue of The Salem Leader or The Salem Democrat.
