New workout series...for the brain

Wits Workout: an engaging and interactive brain health program for older adults

Drawing on brain health and aging research, this program focuses on brain exercises for older adults. This interactive program provides increased socialization and promotes intellectual engagement, all of which complement current aging brain health research. Through its interactive dialog and experiential activities, Wits Workout encourages participants to maintain or adopt long-term health-promoting behaviors through ongoing brain exercises.

Purdue Extension will be offering this free program one Wednesday a month throughout the year. Each monthly lesson focuses on a different theme and category of brain exercises. Registration is required and besides being listed by each event below, may be found on the Purdue Extension Washington County Facebook page. If you have difficulty registering, or need further information, contact Sonya Mitchell at shmitche@purdue.edu or call (812)883-4601.
