May Day at Beck's Mill Saturday

The day will be filled with lots of demonstrators, food and entertainment.
Volunteer Judy Quinlin said, “There will also be a memorial dedication to our volunteers that are no longer with us.”
Mt. Carmel Church will be having a chicken barbecue and a Civil War encampment with Clint Barnett will be set up.
Demonstrators include Rita Roberts with an art show by Bradie Shrum Elementary students; Jason Hardin will be in the blacksmith building; Tony Frederick, cane carver; Sarah Spomer, metal chain contructing; Dusty Baker, painting; and many others.
The event kicks off at 11 a.m. with local Boy Scouts raising the flag and the honor program for past volunteers.
Entertainment will include Troy and Melanie Smith, Gary Brown, Kalen Carty Kemker, Caitlin and Colin Kemker, Jared Kearschner and a tribute to Jimmy Dale Wilcoxson.
The day will be filled with music and demonstrations, activites for the kids and grinding at the mill.
