The City of Salem announced that hours for trick-or-treat will be 6-8 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 31.

The Salem Moose Lodge is hosting a Trunk-or-Treat on Thursday, Oct. 31, 6-8 p.m.

The lodge is located at 1004 Webb Street, Salem.

The public is invited.

Eric Zink, Chief Financial Officer from Hoosier Uplands, presented a check for $11,500 to purchase new radios for the Salem Police Department.

This will enable the police department to be better equipped to respond to emergencies and  better serve the residents of Salem .

Receiving the check of Oct. 14 was Sergeant James Moore. The police department had applied for the grant.

New Hope United Methodist Church is hosting Trunk or Treat on Thursday, Oct. 31, 5:30-7:30 p.m.

There will also be a chili cook-off. Those who come to trunk or treat are invited to sample and vote on the best chili.

The event will take place rain or shine.

New Hope UMC is located at 4957 West State Road 60 in Salem.

Southern Hills Church is hosting Trunk or Treat on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 6-8 p.m.

The church is located at 1645 South State Road 135, Salem.

The public is invited.

The Salem Assembly Of God is hosting Trunk or Treat on Sunday, Oct. 27,  4:30-6 p.m.

The church is located at 1701 State Road 135, Salem

The public is invited to attend.

Bunker Hill Church is hosting a Fall Festival on Sunday, Oct. 27, beginning at 5 p.m.

The church is located at 11499 East State Road 160 in Salem.

The public is invited to the festivities.

The Posey Township Volunteer Fire Department is hosting Trunk or Treat and a chili supper on Saturday, Oct. 26, beginning at 2 p.m.  The fire station is located at 10550 South Radcliff Road, Hardinsburg.

The public is invited.

Southern Hills Church is having a yard sale Saturday, Nov. 9, 8 a.m.-12 noon. Proceeds will be donated to the local Christmas Asistance Program.

The church is located at 1645 S. State Rd. 135, Salem.

Cochren and Co., with special guest Mackenzie Phillips, will be performing at Southern Hills Church on Saturday, Nov. 16.  Doors will open at 6 p.m., and the concert will start at 7 p.m.  Admission is free.

The concert is presented by Wayne Truelove Ministries.

The public is invited to the Hardinsburg General Store Fall Fest Friday, 4-9 p.m.  The store is located at 8674 West Radcliff Road, Hardinsburg.

Many vendors, food trucks and much more will be available.

The Washington County Chamber of Commerce is hosting Friday Night on the Square on September 20th from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. around the Courthouse.

Attendees can expect shop booths, food trucks, and various activities to keep the whole family entertained. Come out to show support for the community!

The 2024 Campbellsburg Country Festival is celebrating its 30th year this year!
