INDOT issues full call-out for accumulating snow

Full call-out issued by INDOT Southeast for accumulating snow

SOUTHEASTERN IND. - The Indiana Department of Transportation Southeast District has issued a full call-out of plow trucks ahead of accumulating snow and wintry mix expected tonight through Thursday.

The National Weather Service is predicting one-to-two inches in most locations, with three inches possible in some areas. A Winter Weather Advisory will go into effect tonight and end Friday morning for the far-southern part of the district (Washington, Scott, Jefferson, Harrison, Floyd and Clark Counties). Cold temperatures will be a concern and slick conditions may develop overnight.

Plow drivers will begin reporting between 9 and 10 p.m. Wednesday evening to start monitoring and treating state roads. At this time, crews are expected to stay active through at least Thursday afternoon.
