Because of pending forcasts of volatile weather, all three county schools are sending students home early today at 1 p.m.

East Washington School Corporation will release students at 1 p.m. Today. On My Way Preschool students should be picked up at 12 noon. Regular buses will begin loading at the elementary school at approximately 12:40 p.m. There will be no PM Prosser, and all after school activities are cancelled.

Salem Community Schools will begin bussing students home at 1 p.m. Tomorrow, Wednesday, Apr. 3, there will be a one hour delay for the start of school because of PLC teacher conferences.

West Washington Schools are also dismissing students at 1 p.m. today. The school announced that the threat of tornadic activity is anticipated to be highest from 3 p.m. Until 7 p.m. Normally the school would hold students late, but the timing is not favorable to do that at this time.

West Washington also announced that if adults cannot get home to meet students or do not feel like the dwelling is safe, they may call 812-755-4872 and the child will be kept at school under supervision until adults can safely get to the school to pick up the student.
