Utility bill assistance for small businesses

The Washington County Economic Growth Partnership recently received $5,000 in funding from the Duke Energy Foundation as part of their $200,000 grant program to assist Indiana economic development organizations offering COVID19 relief to small Indiana businesses.

These funds are being distributed to small businesses in Washington County in an effort to reduce the burden of utility costs during the pandemic. Eligible small businesses can receive up to $500 towards their next water/sewer utility bill.

To be eligible to apply, businesses must be Duke Energy customers in Washington County and classified as a small business.

To apply simply email the following information to WCEGP at sabrina.burdine@wcegp.org:

Business name

Owner name

Phone number

Email

Complete address

Number of employees

Average monthly water bill ($)

If the business meets the criteria and is awarded, grantees will be notified and asked to submit a copy of their next water/sewer bill to the Partnership either electronically or by mail.
