Salem Lions honor Justin Green

At the Dec. 22, 2020, meeting of the Salem Lions Club, member Justin Green was presented with the Melvin Jones Fellowship for his outstanding service to the communities of Salem and Washington County and to the Club, having served in various offices and committees.

A Melvin Jones Fellowship honors the founder of Lions Club International and represents donations made to the Lions Club International Foundation by an individual member of the Salem Lions Club or by the Club itself. Each $1,000 donation to LCIF touches the lives of 1,500 people worldwide by providing grants to address hunger, environmental projects, diabetes research, testing and control, pediatric cancer, and natural disasters.

The Salem Lions Club meets the first and third Tuesday of every month at the Lions Den, located at 1791 N. Shelby St. and is always looking for community-minded individuals to join.
