Landfill closed on Memorial Day

Washington County Landfill and Recycling Center will be closed on Monday, May 31, for Memorial Day.

Regular hours of operation are Monday thru Friday, 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. and the first and third Saturdays of each month from 7 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Loads 1-ton or larger must be in by 3 p.m. Monday thru Friday and 1 p.m. Saturday.

The entrance to the landfill is 2682 N. Highland Rd., Salem. The office can be reached by calling 812-883-4811.
