Kindergarten registration for Bradie Shrum Elementary School in Salem will be Thursday, Apr. 4, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Children who are five-years-old by Aug. 1, 2024, are eligible to enroll in kindergarten. Parents and guardians are required to bring the child or children to school on April 4 to complete registration. All will meet in the Safe Room at their scheduled appointment time.

A health department issued birth certificate for the student

Kindergarten registration for East Washington Elementary School will be Tuesday, April 23, 3:30-6 p.m. Children who are five-years-old by Aug. 1, 2024, are eligible to enroll in kindergarten. Parents and guardians are required to bring the child or children to school on Apr. 23 to complete registration.

Kindergarten registration for West Washington Elementary School in Campbellsburg will be Wednesday and Thursday, Mar. 20 & 21, 12 noon to 7 p.m. Children who are five-years-old by Aug. 1, 2024, are eligible to enroll in kindergarten. Parents and guardians are required to bring the child or children to school on April 4 to complete registration. All will meet in the Safe Room at their scheduled appointment time.

Prepping your child with basic skills before entering Kindergarten will most likely help ensure the child graduates high school and experiences financial independence later in life.

The Board of School Trustees of West Washington School Corporation met in REGULAR SESSION at 7:00 P.M. in room 175 of the West Washington High School on Monday, February 19, 2024.
President Sama opened the meeting.
Adam Brown moved to approve the bank reconciliation/fund report. The motion was seconded by Claude Combs, passing 7-0.

Tim Barksdale moved to accept the minutes from 1-22-24. Stephanie Keltner seconded the motion, passing 7-0.
Junior high special education teacher, Jessica Nance, presented on Camp Invention. It is a week-long STEM summer camp for students going into grades K-6. It is a non-profit organization that provides curriculum and materials for students to build creative inventions. WWSC has been selected as a host site. This will give our community’s students an opportunity that they would normally have to spend a lot more money on and travel to attend. Camp Invention will be held the week of June 3rd.
There were no patrons signed up to speak.
Claude Combs moved to approve the Personnel Report as presented. The motion was seconded by Tim Barksdale, passing 7-0.
In old business, the board voted to table the approval of usage of Rainy Day funds for safety upgrades. Stephanie Keltner made a motion to table the item with Carri Cambron seconding, passing 7-0.
In new business, Superintendent Nance recommended the Finance committee schedule a meeting on April 19th, 2024.
