Still time to get tickets

Melea Hardin will be one of the performers at the Bohemian Supper Club Orchestra performance this Saturday at the Trueblood Performing Arts Center at Salem Middle School. Tickets are available at Mid-Southern Savings Bank, Loy and Fordyce Insurance Agency, Salem Apothecary, and Salem High School. All seats are $10 and patrons are encouraged to line up tickets early while available, as these events historically sell out quite quickly.

Billed as “Celebrate, Educate,” the event is sponsored by the Salem Education Foundation, with proceeds earmarked for scholarship funds for local students.
Most all the performers are alumni and veterans of the popular Bohemian Supper Club events produced by the Salem choirs in recent years, and musical director Bill Spencer-Pierce promises a great show.

Over 20 performers in all are donating their time and talents in producing the 90-minute show.
Selections include popular numbers from 60’s to the present, with an emphasis on orchestration. “We have so many talented people on board,” said Spencer-Pierce. “We really want to showcase the whole spectrum of talent. That means a lot of nice instrumental combinations and solo spots. There’s everything from Billie Holiday to the Blues Brothers.”
