Pellman achieves Eagle Scout rank

The Boy Scout slogan is “Do a Good Turn Daily.” If boys work their way up the ranks in Scouts, attaining Eagle Scout status, they live that slogan daily. Local Boy Scout Chance Pellman has mastered the calling and he earned his Eagle Scout rank on March 24.
Pellman is a sophomore at Salem High School and has been in Scouts since second grade. Boy Scout volunteer Pepper Dunaway came to Bradie Shrum Elementary School to talk about Boy Scouts and Pellman said, “I thought it sounded cool.”
After being in Scouts for a while, he learned about the Eagle Scout rank, but thought it so far away, that it would never happen. “As I started getting closer and closer, I saw that it was more within my grasp,” Pellman said.
