Leadership group at WW helping to implement change

One of the roles of junior/senior high school is turning students into leaders.

This year first-year West Washington assistant principal Brent Ingram has a group of students who are doing that.

Ingram has a group of students in all grade levels that will be looking school policies and rules, as well as initiatives they’d like to see at their school.

“They have done a nice job proposing certain subjects such as themes at games, use of lockers throughout the day, seating in the lunchroom and things like that,” Ingram said. “We would like this group to act as an advocate for school policy and change.”

Ingram said students who are not in the leadership group have started to reach out to those who are and sharing ideas about what they’d like to see happen in the school.

The seniors in the leadership group are, Madison Brown, Mackenzie Brown, Hudson Cress, Julius Woosley and Bailey Pittman.
