Indiana Recognizes Recipients of 2024 CTE Awards for Excellence
Career and Technical Education highlights outstanding achievements of individuals and partners

(INDIANAPOLIS) – The Indiana Commission for Higher Education recognized winners of Career and Technical Education (CTE)’s Awards for Excellence today, highlighting exceptional achievements of CTE students, programs, partners, and counselors around the state who exemplify the ideal qualities and opportunities of Career and Technical Education.

The recognition of the Awards for Excellence is divided between secondary and postsecondary programming, further categorized by student awards, career coaching and advising awards, partnership awards, and program awards. Nominations for the awards were submitted by CTE Districts or high schools.


“The CTE Awards for Excellence shine a spotlight on the remarkable work of students, programs, partners, and counselors, illuminating the impact of Career and Technical Education,” said Indiana Commissioner for Higher Education Chris Lowery. “These recipients epitomize the opportunities of CTE, and display how passion, leadership, and community engagement can pave the way to a hopeful future."

CTE provides relevant career and technical education programs of study that prepare students for high-skill, in-demand careers in fields such as advanced manufacturing, information technology, and agriculture. Indiana’s CTE team joined the Commission in July 2023 as part of House Enrolled Act 1002-2023.
