Benefit for Tucker Smith

New Beginning Baptist Church will be hosting their annual Father’s Day golf outing. This year the proceeds will benefit 5-year-old Tucker Smith. This golf outing has become a way for the church to celebrate Father’s Day, with fun, fellowship and giving back.

The outing is on Sunday, June 19, at 1 p.m. at Western Hills Golf Course. Payouts will be given for first and second places. There will also be door prizes, 50/50 drawing and they will be giving away a new driver and a new putter.

Smith is the son of Darrell and Heather Smith and is suffering from the side effects of a stroke he suffered Sept. 17, of last year. He was life lined to Norton’s Children’s Hospital in Louisville. He is a little miracle, but still faces a lot of recovery time. He currently has weekly doctor visits to varying specialists including neurology, neurovascular, hematology, physical and occupational therapy and other rehabilitation.

The organizers are accepting business sponsors at $100 a hole. Cost to play is $30/ person or $120 for a team of four. Monetary donations and gift certificates are also being accepted. Contact Kim Taylor at 812-896-5431 or email: cjtaylor1959@ aol.com to make arrangements for pickup.
