World Fianance opens in Salem

World Finance has been in business at the Salem Shops since January, but an official ribbon cutting was held last week with the Chamber of Commerce.

Manager Jon Jones, a 2013 Salem High School graduate, is excited about this new business in Salem.

World Finance Loans and Taxes offers consumer taxes and tax advancements.

“We also help people establish credit,” he said, adding that they can help their customers get a foot in the door on loans for cars and homes.

The company, based in Greenville, South Carolina, has been in business since 1962 and has been in Indiana for four years. There are 28 offices nationwide, with plans to open four more this year.

“We are all over the eastern seaboard and are expanding our office locations to the west,” said Jones’ supervisor, Bobby Burkeen.

The business is located in the Salem Shops shopping center on South Main Street.

This month, they are raffling off a new grill for customer referrals. Next month, the play to hold a raffle for Holiday World tickets.
