Graduating SHS seniors revisit their old stomping grounds

Many, if not most, of this year's graduating Salem High School class once walked the halls of Bradie Shrum Elementary School.

Wednesday morning, they walked them again. Not wearing the light-up sneakers and cartoon character backpacks of their elementary past, but in the black and gold caps and gowns they'll wear for graduation on Saturday, May 27, at 2 p.m., their last journey to the school as Salem High School students.

The walk-through tradition is new to Salem High School this year and elementary students left their rooms to stand in the hall to congratulate, applaud, cheer and high-five members of the senior class.
